Vehicle Description
1967 Pontiac GTO Post Coupe | 4-Speed | Blue Poly
You`re not looking at another hardtop. This is a 1967 GTO Sport Coupe the pillar post body that most buyers passed over in `67 and the one collectors fight over now. Built at the Pontiac, Michigan plant in April of 1967, this car wears its original Mariner Turquoise (Paint Code LL) over a black vinyl interior. Not a repaint to a ``cool color`` this is the color the factory sprayed it.
The cowl tag and VIN tell the whole story. ST 67-24207 confirms the post coupe body. Trim code 223 is the black bucket interior. And the most important detail this is a 4-speed car. A post coupe GTO with a Muncie and a factory color this clean is not something that comes up often.
Blue Poly was a low-take-rate color in `67. Pair that with the post coupe body that made up a small fraction of GTO production and a 4-speed manual transmission, and you`ve got a combination that stands out at any show or cruise night. This isn`t the GTO everyone else has.
Highlights:
Real-deal 242 VIN born a GTO, not a clone
Post coupe (07 body) rarer than the hardtop
4-speed manual transmission
Black vinyl interior (Code 223)
Pontiac, MI assembly
