Vehicle Description
This 1969 Jaguar XKE 2+2 has been lovingly restored to be identical to the car that rolled off the assembly line in Coventry, England.
When the car was originally ordered by a young pharmacy graduate in 1969 he had no idea that he was setting up the restoration of a highly unique exotic, classic car forty years later. The 2+2 XKE was originally built 4" longer than the 2-seater coupe in order to accommodate the longer automatic transmission from Jaguar, so 80% of the 2+2 models were automatics. This car was ordered with the standard Jaguar manual 4-speed and wire wheels. Another rare option is the factory installed air conditioning and the left side only rear view mirror.Throw in forty years of wear and tear and you have one of the rarest XKEs on the planet.
